Chhaupadi Assessment

NFCC was contracted by USAID/Nepal to conduct an assessment to identify best practices for the effective reduction of the negative effects of Chhaupaditradition on women and girls. The geographic scope of the assessment was far and mid-western region of Nepal, where Chhaupadiis widely prevalent. The output of the assessment was a recommended multi-sectoral strategy for the reduction in the negative impact of Chhaupadiwhile maintaining positive social and cultural cohesion.
