Comparative study of HPV prevalence in two cohorts of high and low risk womens groups

With support from University of Alabama, Birmingham, an HPV sampling study will be conducted among two cohorts of women (200 in each group) in Kathmandu and Achham district. The purpose of this study will be to examine the vulnerability of women from low risk populace and high risk populace (HIV positive) to HPV. Both qualitative and quantitative data will be collected and analyzed. This study will usher in the initiation of more comprehensive studies on HPV prevalence, vulnerabilities and uptake of various screening mechanisms in Nepal.
