HPV TESTING MACHINE INSTALLATION

NFCC in collaboration with the University of Alabama (UAB), Human Papillomavirus (HPV) testing machine has been installed at Reliable Diagnostic Laboratory, Gongabu, Kathmandu. This HPV test machine is capable to detect the presence of 13 high-risk HPV genotypes (16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59 and 68)- a virus that can cause abnormalities in the cervix and cervical cancer.
