Updating National Cervical Cancer Implementation Plan (2016-2020)

With technical assistance from WHO, the Family Health Division (FHD) under the Ministry of Health and Population Nepal (MoHP) developed the National Guidelines for Cervical Cancer Screening and Prevention (CCSP) for Nepal in 2010. A National Implementation Plan was developed for 2013-15 with the aim to screen at least 50% of the target population within five years and to reduce mortality due to cervical cancer with at least 10%. NFCC has been contracted by UNFPA to update the National Implementation Plan for the period of 2016-2020. It is expected that the said plan will encompass targets, goals, budget and mechanisms for cervical cancer screening in Nepal for the next five years.
